Here’s what to know. This guide explains the type of work and why it can be needed. It is not a remote diagnosis or a do-it-yourself wiring tutorial.
What does this involve?
Replacing outdated fuse boxes or adding a sub-panel to expand household power capacity.
How does it work?
A subpanel distributes power to more branch circuits but does not itself create more electrical service capacity. Major panel work requires load review and safety planning.
What affects the job?
Panel rating, service size, available space, utility coordination, and local permit rules can all affect feasibility. We would confirm this scope before scheduling.
What should you tell us?
The warning signs you noticed, when they started, and photos from a safe distance. Do not open panels or covers to take pictures. You do not need to know the electrical terms. Tell us what you see and what you want to change.
Keep safety in mind
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s home electrical checklist explains common warning signs. For generator-related jobs, see the Electrical Safety Foundation International’s generator guidance. Any code or permit decision needs to be checked for the actual property.
Is this what you need help with?
Tell us a little about your project and where you're located. We'll confirm whether it's a job we can take on and explain the next step.
